CREECH ELEMENTARY’S SENSORY WALK

A UNIQUE WAY OF TEACHING KINDERGARTEN ABOUT OUR SENSES

(September 12, 2006) – Creech’s Kindergarten classes went on a Sensory Walk!

Kindergarten teachers at Creech Elementary display a unique way of teaching about our 5 senses.  The students went on a “Sensory Walk”.  Focusing on touch, the students lined up for a fun and messy time as they stepped in tubs filled with cotton balls, beans, foil, water, noodles, pudding, shaving cream, etc.  They talked about how each one of these items felt different to the touch.
